Wanted: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Psychiatry

Location: Penang Medical College, Pulau Pinang Job requirements:
  • MBBS / MD or equivalent degree in related disciplines, registrable with the Malaysian Medical Council or relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Master degree / Fellowship / PhD or equivalent degree in related disciplines, registrable with the National Specialist Register of Malaysia or relevant professional registers.
  • Strong interest & expertise in teaching and research & be involved in scholarly activities.
  • Candidates without specialist qualifications but with strong teaching, research & publication record from reputable universities may also be considered. Summary of post: Penang Medical College is one of the foremost private medical schools in Malaysia and is developing its range of academic programmes. We are looking for enthusiastic psychiatrists with excellent communication skills to teach on our undergraduate teaching programme and be involved in development/expansion of the department's medical teaching, course development and research activities. There are opportunities to undertake a supported higher degree and also to gain clinical experience/expertise in general adult/community/primary-care liaison and academic psychiatry through placements in centres of excellence in Ireland.
